Is Lourdin RPG free to play?

Yes — completely free to start. Five classes are permanently free: Warrior, Wizard, Ranger, Rogue, and Cleric. Premium classes (Paladin, Bard, Monk, Barbarian, Pirate) offer additional playstyles for those who want more options, but the core game is fully playable without spending anything.

Do I need to download or install anything?

Nothing at all. Lourdin RPG runs entirely in your web browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, mobile — with no plugins, no downloads, and no installation required. Create an account and you're playing within seconds.

How does turn-based combat work?

Combat uses a transparent D&D 5e-inspired dice system. Each round starts with an initiative roll (1d20 + DEX) that sets the turn order. On your turn, choose an action: Attack (1d20 + bonus vs. enemy AC), Cast a Spell (some require saving throws), Use an Item, or trigger a Class Feature. Can I play Lourdin RPG with friends?

Yes! Real-time multiplayer is built in via SignalR. Create or join a party, choose a difficulty, and tackle encounters together with shared XP and loot. Class synergies shine in party play — Bard buffs stack with Warrior's Battle Cry, Clerics keep everyone alive, and Wizards melt groups with AoE spells.

What is the maximum character level?

Characters progress from Level 1 to Level 20, following the D&D 5e XP table. You unlock new class abilities at milestone levels and receive stat boosts at levels 4, 8, 12, and 16. At level 20 you're a fully realized legend — but the journey to get there is the adventure.

What makes Lourdin different from other browser RPGs?

Three things set Lourdin apart: (1) Transparent dice mechanics — every roll is shown, nothing is hidden. (2) Tactical zone system — a three-zone battlefield (Vanguard, Midfield, Rear Guard) where positioning matters as much as stats.
